1969 plays the best known, hard charging Classic Rock and Blues tunes of the 60’s Woodstock era, channeling not just the music, but the spirit of such iconic performers as Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Cream, Aretha, Eric Clapton, Santana, Allman Brothers, Muddy Waters, Jeff Beck, and many more!
1969 has appeared live in the studio on the CBS/KCAL Sunday Morning Television show, The Troubadour, at the Redondo Pier Summer Concert Series, the Venice Beach Music and Arts Festival, the International Kite Festival, and at numerous Southern California festivals, clubs, bars and parties. Priding itself on a huge repertoire of songs, the band is constantly adding new tracks, and remixes its set lists every single time we play, so nobody ever hears the same show twice. And, for our fans who like to spend a lot of time on their feet and on the dance floor, 1969 never disappoints!
This L.A. based band grew out of a reunion of seasoned classic rock and blues musicians, some having first played together in the 60’s. Each of the band members has played professionally over the years, some in several countries across Europe and Scandinavia.
